Cake for Breakfast

Today I'm having cake for breakfast 
You hear the bowl slide across the counter 
Of course you think I'm getting cereal 
But let's be real here 
I'm sneaky & I'm seven 
I'm proud of myself 
Knowing I won't get caught 
I feel like a bank robber
evading the cops 
You yell from the other room,
"Are you eating yet?
You can't be late for school"
I stifle my laughter 
then hide the evidence 
You'll never know that 
I had cake for breakfast
